Jagran correspondent, Etawah. There was a sudden break on the Delhi-Howrah route, one of the busiest railway lines in the country, on Monday. Due to technical problem in power supply in Etawah, the operation of trains on the railway track came to a halt for about an hour. Due to this, many express and passenger trains stopped midway, due to which the passengers had to face a lot of trouble. Railway officials immediately sent a technical team and rectified the fault, after which operations were gradually restored.

Due to a technical problem in the OHE i.e. Over Head Electronic line in the Etawah section on the Delhi-Howrah railway route, the up and down lines were affected for about an hour on Thursday evening. The information about the impact of rail traffic created panic among the officials. Signal and other department officials rushed to find the fault in the section. Later, after the fault in the OHE between Junction and Ikdil station was rectified, operations could start.

The OHE stopped working at 5.57 pm and could be repaired after about an hour at around 6.48 pm. Due to which about half a dozen trains, including Neelanchal Express on the up line and Vande Bharat on the down line, were standing at various places. Due to this the passengers had to face problems.

Public Relations Officer, North Central Railway, Amit Malviya said that due to a technical fault in the OHE line between Etawah Junction and Ikdil station on the Delhi-Howrah railway route at 5.57 pm on Wednesday, traffic on the up and down lines was affected for an hour. The technical problem in OHE was rectified at 6.48 pm. After which operations have resumed.

Due to this, 12875 Nilanchal Express Ikdil was standing on the up line while New Delhi-Varanasi Vande Bharat Saraibhupat, Bikaner-Guwahati Express Etawah Junction, New Delhi-Kanpur Shatabdi Express Korara, Parasnath Express Saraibhupat were standing on the down line. Parasnath Express was stopped at Saraibhupat, Aligarh-Govindpuri Fast Passenger at Jaswantnagar, Tundla-Kanpur Passenger at Balrai and Gomti Express at Firozabad.
