The Additional Sessions Court has sentenced the lover, who called her to the farm 23 months ago and cut her hand with a spade in the excitement of his girlfriend's marriage being fixed at another place, to two years of imprisonment. A fine of Rs 20 thousand has been imposed on the culprit.

The girl, living in a village in Behta Mujawar area, was having a love affair with Rinku, a resident of Fatehpur Majra Gauria Kala of the same area. Unaware of this, the girl's relatives fixed her marriage. Lover Rinku came to know about this. Many times he pressurized the girl to marry him by refusing to marry him elsewhere.

The girl kept refusing him, saying that it was her family's wish. On March 12, 2024, Rinku called the girl to the farm to meet her and insisted on marrying her. When the girl refused, Rinku cut her hand with a scabbard. While leaving from there, he threatened that if you could not be ours then we would not let you be someone else's.

Based on the complaint of the girl's father, the police registered a report and arrested the accused Rinku and sent him to jail. The then police station incharge Inderpal Singh investigated the case and gathered sufficient evidence against the accused and filed the charge sheet in the court. The hearing of the case was pending in the court of Additional District Judge Sixth.

The final hearing was completed on Thursday. After hearing the arguments presented by the government advocate Manoj Kumar Pandey from the prosecution, Judge Manish Kumar Nigam found the accused Rinku guilty and sentenced him to two years of imprisonment.

Bail application of accused of rape on the pretext of marriage accepted

A girl had lodged a rape report against Golu alias Shiv Pratap, a resident of Jawaharkheda Majre Rau of Makhi area, on the pretext of marriage. While hearing the bail application of the accused on Thursday, Additional District Judge VII approved conditional bail. Advocate Ajit Singh represented the accused side.
