Jagran Correspondent, Rishikesh: In view of the problems people are facing regarding Aadhaar card, a team will sit in the Municipal Corporation on a regular basis. The roster for organizing Aadhar card camps in the wards has already been released by the Municipal Corporation. The teams sitting in the corporation will set up camps in the wards that are left out in the roster.
In Rishikesh, Aadhaar Card Center was running regularly in the zonal office of Municipal Corporation located at Bapugram. Later this center was closed. After that, Aadhaar card related work was being done only in the tehsil. There also only 35 cards were being made every day.
In between, ration card holders were asked to link the ration card with the Aadhar card. Aadhaar card was to be linked to every unit of ration card. During this time there was chaos to update Aadhaar card. Seeing the problem, the administration organized camps in rural areas and got Aadhaar cards made.
There was a demand for setting up Aadhar Card Camp in the Municipal Corporation area also. The administration and the Municipal Corporation also issued a roster for setting up camps for Aadhar cards in the wards of the Municipal Corporation. Aadhar cards have started being made in the wards. These camps will run till January.
Along with this, preparations are now underway to appoint a team regularly in the Municipal Corporation office to make Aadhaar cards. Ward numbers 11, 12, 13, adjacent to the tehsil, were not included in the roster issued by the corporation to the wards.
The corporation believed that since the card is being made in the tehsil, the people here can go to the tehsil and make the card. But there is more crowd there. Now the team making Aadhar cards in the corporation will organize camps in these wards also.
Municipal Commissioner Gopal Ram Binwal said that a regular team is expected to come to the Municipal Corporation office from this week itself. A place has also been fixed for this. This team will also hold camps in the left wards.
