Jagran correspondent, Pingavan. Farmers of the district will no longer have to face shortage of fertilizers. Adequate quantity of fertilizer for wheat and mustard crops has now been sent to all the PACS (Primary Agricultural Credit Societies) in the district. Earlier, farmers had to face a lot of problems due to lack of fertilizer during sowing and irrigation of wheat and mustard.
However, this time agriculture department officials are claiming that sufficient quantity of fertilizer is available for the farmers. Virendra Dev Arya, Deputy Director of Agriculture Department of Nuh district, said that 7500 metric tons of fertilizer is needed for Rabi season, and this quantity is available.
He said the district's requirement for Rabi crops is around 20,000 MT, while around 16,000 MT has already arrived. Farmers have purchased some of it, and the rest is available in the fertilizer societies. The remaining stock, as per the capacity, will soon reach Nuh, ensuring that there will be no shortage of fertilizer in the district and farmers will be able to easily access it.
Farmers are advised to always take a receipt while purchasing fertilizer. The Deputy Director said that if any irregularity is found, action will be taken against the shopkeeper.
