There May Be Light Rain In Kanpur And Surrounding Districts, Orange Alert For Rain In Western UP

Jagran correspondent, Kanpur. After the arrival of western disturbance, heavy snowfall, hailstorm and rain has started in the mountains and some states. Orange alert has been issued for Western Uttar Pradesh and Yellow alert for Eastern Uttar Pradesh on Friday.

According to the Meteorological Department, the next disturbance will come between 26 and 28 January. There is a possibility of rain again. Due to western disturbance, the weather will remain turbulent till the last week of January. There will be no forecast of any change in the weather. For this reason, no alert has been issued beyond January 25.

On Wednesday night, the western disturbance started affecting about six states including the mountains. The minimum temperature of Kanpur decreased on Thursday. Before this, the night temperature was 8.0 degrees for three consecutive days, which was recorded at 7.7 degrees Celsius on Thursday, which was 0.4 degrees less than normal. Since January 17, the day temperature has continuously remained above 20 degrees. On Thursday, the day temperature was recorded at 25.8 degrees Celsius, which was 4.5 degrees Celsius more than normal, due to which the day was warmer than the night.

According to the Meteorological Department, this time the strongest western disturbance has come this time. It is directly affecting seven states. Despite less impact in UP, there is a possibility of more rain in the western region and light rain or thundershowers in the remaining districts. During this period, wind can blow at a speed of 25 to 30 kilometers per hour.

Meteorologist Dr. SN Sunil Pandey says that there may be light fog in the morning and evening. Due to the advance of western disturbance from Friday afternoon, the wind speed may be six to 20 kilometers per hour. There may be movement of clouds during the day.

There is only a possibility of drizzle during the day, although the intensity of rain will be very less. Farmers are advised to postpone irrigation activities for the next three to four days, there is a fear of crops falling due to strong winds in waterlogged fields.
