CM Nitish Kumar in East Champaran during Samriddhi Yatra.

State Bureau, Patna. Janata Dal United (JDU) spokespersons on Saturday said Chief Minister Nitish Kumar's Samriddhi Yatra is not a political trip at all.

Confusion is being spread about this by the opposition. In JDU state office, the party's chief state spokesperson Neeraj Kumar, spokesperson Dr. Nihora Prasad Yadav, media panelist Kishore Kunal and student JDU state spokesperson Anand Madhav said this in a joint press conference.

JDU spokespersons said that this yatra is actually an audit of the schemes of Bihar government at the grassroots level. This is the first government in the country which got the decisions taken during the Pragati Yatra directly approved by the Cabinet and prepared a clear roadmap for not only announcement but also implementation.

West Champaran becomes tourist center

West Champaran, which was once known for kidnapping industry and fear, today Marcha paddy has got GI tag and the region has rapidly emerged as a center of tourism.

In the year 2024-25, more than 4 lakh 80 thousand tourists reached the place where people were once afraid to go out even during the day. The Chief Minister has changed the identity of Champaran by promoting eco-tourism.

Spokespersons said that Chief Minister Nitish Kumar has ended the atmosphere of fear from entire Bihar including Champaran. Initiatives like Bihar Swabhiman Battalion for the daughters of Tharu tribe have paved the way for increasing the income of farmers by providing them the benefit of GI tag.

This government is not limited to just changing the picture, but is committed to changing the destiny of Bihar, and the reflection of the same is clearly visible in Saat Nishchay Part Three.
