Digital Desk, New Delhi. A youth suffering from rabies disease was found in critical condition in Angpur Phata area of Satara district of Maharashtra. He started behaving like a dog in the middle of the road. The condition of this person was so serious that people had to lay a net and catch him.
It is being told that after the dog bite, symptoms of rabies started appearing in the person. On receiving information from the local people, the victim was immediately admitted to the Civil Hospital, where his treatment is ongoing. A video of this incident is also going viral on social media, in which a person is walking like a dog on the road.
What's in the viral video?
It can be seen in the video that the local people are laying a big and long net and trying to catch the person suffering from rabies. At the same time, the victim is walking on the road with the help of his knees and hands and is trying to scare people by acting like a dog. He was repeatedly running towards the people and the people gathered around him, sometimes going towards him and sometimes running away.
It can be seen in the video that as soon as people go near to catch him, the victim growls and runs towards them, due to which people move back.
Rabies is a fatal disease
According to the World Health Organization, rabies is a fatal viral disease caused by dog bite. If its symptoms start appearing, it can be stopped with immediate medical help. After a dog bite, the wound should be washed thoroughly with soap and water for 15 minutes and medical help should be sought immediately for vaccination (PEP). It is very important to start treatment before symptoms appear.
