Of these, the women had absconded from the hospital with two newborns and a four-year-old child from the mother-child ward. In the case of the newborn missing from the hospital ward on Tuesday, the victim's family is alleging the negligence of the hospital administration and security personnel. At the same time, the hospital administration says that the accused woman was being seen with the mother of the newborn for three days, when asked by the mother of the child, she told the accused woman as her sister. After which she hid the child in a sheet and ran away on Tuesday morning.
Four year old child kidnapped from hospital in desire of having a child
Desiring to have a child, a woman kidnapped a four-year-old child from Ambedkar Hospital on October 20, 2025. It was found in the CCTV footage that at around 2:50 pm a woman was seen playing with a child. At three in the afternoon she left the hospital with the child. In the second camera, the woman was seen talking to the auto drivers and sitting in an auto. Within some time, the auto driver Abdul Rehman was traced, who told that he had dropped the woman with the child at Libaspur.
The team took immediate action and raided the given address and arrested the woman. The arrested woman was identified as Jyoti alias Preeti (39). The accused told that she often went to BSA Hospital for the treatment of asthma. She had also gone to the hospital on the day of the incident. She liked this child and decided to take him with her, because neither she nor her brother had any son.
The woman had absconded with the four-day-old newborn from the hospital.
On December 31, 2025, Dali Kumari told the police that her four-day-old son had been kidnapped from Ambedkar Hospital in Rohini. During the police investigation, it was seen in the CCTV footage that the victim Dali's maternal aunt Suman Devi asked Dali to give the child to Pooja Soni alias Radha, who claimed that she worked in a hospital. Pooja Soni alias Radha took the child under her custody to get it weighed. Who ran away from the hospital. Subsequently, Suman Devi who was already present at the spot was caught and interrogated.
Suman Devi confessed that she had planned to kidnap the child with co-accused Pooja Soni, who was not a hospital employee. Whereas, Pooja Devi had already handed over the child to Suman Devi's 14-year-old daughter at her house. So the team immediately raided Suman's house and recovered the boy safely.
The accused told that Suman Devi had some old enmity with her mother Dali and her mother Vibha Devi so that they could be taught a lesson. Therefore, Suman Devi along with co-accused Pooja Soni had planned to kidnap the boy.
