Jagran correspondent, Dehradun. Three tourists who had come to Chakra to see snow died in two separate road accidents on Sunday. Teenagers are also included in these. Five other people were injured in the accidents. The first accident occurred on the Kalsi-Chakrata State Highway at around 4.30 pm.
25-year-old Rajesh Singh, resident of Sakrol Kamla Kalsi, working on contract at MES Dehradun, and 23-year-old Raja, resident of Block 21 Kalyanpuri, Delhi, working at Dehradun Airport, were returning from Chakrata on bike.
He was hit by an unknown vehicle near Bhootiya Ghoom located in Koruva village on the highway. Both of them died after being taken to Community Health Center Sahiya.
On the same highway near Lal Pul Badoi Chhani at 6 pm, the car of a Delhi tourist went out of control and fell into a hundred meter deep gorge. In the accident, 15-year-old Vansh Chawla, son of Tarun Chawla, resident of 3411/89 Santnagar, Old Delhi, died, while his mother Hema Chawla, brother Vansh, Leena Kapoor, her sons Shaurya and Shreevagya and Mohit Kapoor were injured.
The people in the car were returning from Chakrata to Delhi after seeing the snowfall. According to Kalsi police station, prima facie investigation has revealed that this accident happened while making a reel on a mobile phone. The injured are undergoing treatment at Community Health Center Sahiya.
