Tragic Accident In Amethi: A Parked Container Collided From Behind, Both Drivers Died

Jagran correspondent, Amethi. On Thursday, a container parked on the Lucknow-Varanasi National Highway was hit by another container from behind. The drivers of both the containers died in the incident. Traffic on the highway was also partially affected due to the collision between the two vehicles.

A container going from Sultanpur towards Lucknow was standing near the petrol pump in Benchugarh. The driver got down from the vehicle and was engaged in some technical work behind the container. Meanwhile, the second container coming at high speed suddenly went out of control and hit the standing container from behind.

The collision was so severe that both the vehicles were damaged and the drivers were seriously injured. The police immediately took the injured to the Community Health Center Jagdishpur, where the doctor declared both of them dead. The deceased were identified as Shishupal son of Jaipal, resident of Narhi Kasimpur of Sitapur and Rahul Yadav son of Dharamraj, resident of Kevatli Rajapur of Jaunpur.
