Travel Allowance Of Ministers Increased In Uttarakhand, Now They Will Get So Many Thousand Rupees Per Month

State Bureau, Jagran, Dehradun. Uttarakhand government has increased the traveling allowance of ministers. Now ministers will get up to Rs 90 thousand per month as traveling allowance instead of Rs 60 thousand. An order in this regard has been issued by the Privacy Department.

Even before this, the state government has increased the salaries and allowances of public representatives and office bearers. After the amendment bill passed by the Uttarakhand State Assembly in August 2024, the salaries and allowances of MLAs were increased to about Rs 4 lakh per month.

Earlier, he used to get around Rs 2.90 lakh including salary and allowances. During this period, the allowances of MLAs increased but there was no increase in the allowances of ministers. If sources are to be believed, this issue was raised in the cabinet meeting held on Wednesday.

After this the Privacy Department has issued a notification in this regard. In this, the maximum limit of traveling allowance of ministers has been increased.

According to the notification, all members of the Cabinet including the Chief Minister, Minister of State and Deputy Minister will now be able to receive a maximum of Rs 90 thousand per calendar month on the trips undertaken in the discharge of their official responsibilities within Uttarakhand or the country.
