Uttar Pradesh Lekhpal vacancy 2026
Education Desk, New Delhi. Recruitment is going on for 7994 vacant posts of accountant in Uttar Pradesh, for which the last date of application is fixed for tomorrow i.e. 28th January. In such a situation, the youth who fulfill the eligibility for this recruitment and for some reason have not been able to fill the form yet, should fill the form without any delay by visiting the official website of Uttar Pradesh Subordinate Services Selection Commission (UPSSSC) upsssc.gov.in. The application window will close after tomorrow. The last date for fee adjustment after filling the form is 4 February 2026.
Who can apply for accountant posts
To apply for Lekhpal posts, the candidate should have a valid scorecard of Uttar Pradesh Preliminary Eligibility Test (UP PET). The candidate must have obtained Intermediate or its equivalent qualification from a recognized Board/Institute. Minimum age should not be less than 18 years and maximum age should not be more than 40 years. However, reserved category candidates have been given relaxation in upper age.
In this recruitment, along with filling the application form, candidates of all categories will have to pay only Rs 25 as fees. Fee can be deposited through online mode.

Through this recruitment, appointments will be made to a total of 7994 vacant posts of accountants in the state. Out of these, 3205 posts are reserved for unreserved category, 1679 posts for Scheduled Caste, 160 posts for Scheduled Tribe, 2158 posts for Other Backward Class and 792 posts for Economically Weaker Section. 1,592 posts are reserved for women candidates.
