The most important pillar of this development journey is the pot of 1.5 lakh government jobs for the youth of the state. The process of filling vacant posts in key departments like education, police, health and revenue is in the final stages. Along with this, the government is preparing for the 5th Ground Breaking Ceremony (GBC) and a grand Global Investors Summit (GIS) to give new heights to the industrial revolution.
10 big gifts of 2026
Gift of employment to the youth: In the year 2026, the recruitment process of more than 1.5 lakh government jobs will be completed in other departments including Police Department (50,000 posts), Education Department (50,000 posts), and Revenue Department (20,000 posts).
Jewar Airport: Global Recognition: Noida International Airport spread over 3300 acres will become operational, due to which UP will have India's largest airport. 150 flights will be possible daily from here.
Ganga Expressway: New name of Raftaar: This 594 km long expressway from Meerut to Prayagraj will start in 2026, which will increase business activities by reducing the distance between 12 districts.
Investment Ground (GBC 5.0): Ground breaking ceremony will be held in the beginning of the year to break ground on projects worth more than ₹5 lakh crore.
Global Investors Summit 2.0: After the success of 2023, a grand summit will be organized again in 2026 to attract investors from all over the world towards UP.
Nivesh Mitra 3.0: An upgraded version of the single window system will be launched to further simplify the 'Ease of Doing Business' for industrialists.
Surgeries in AYUSH hospitals: For the first time, 53 types of surgeries will be available in AYUSH hospitals, which will reduce the pressure on allopathy hospitals and patients will get cheap and accessible treatment.
Curb black marketing of medicines: New rules of geo-tagging and strict digital monitoring will be implemented to prevent misuse of NDPS medicines and cough syrups.
Cyber Security Shield: To stop the increasing online crimes, the capacity of the state's cyber call center will be doubled, so that immediate action can be taken on fraud complaints.
Kanpur-Lucknow Expressway: This expressway will be ready by February 2026, due to which the journey between the two cities will be only 40 minutes.
