On Saturday, tension spread after the chopped body parts, legs and head of a cow were found in the garbage dump located at Coconut Kheda under Gautam Nagar police station area of ​​Bhopal city. As soon as the information was received, workers of Hindu organizations reached the spot and expressed their anger and started taking out the bier of the remains. Seeing the situation worsening, the police immediately intervened and stopped the protest, seized the organs and sent them for post-mortem.

Angered by the incident, the activists surrounded the police station demanding immediate registration of FIR against the culprits. In view of the demonstration, heavy police force was deployed along with top police officers. After the uproar that lasted for about two hours, the police took the memorandum of the organizations and assured of fair investigation and strict action, after which the protest calmed down.

ACP Rakesh Baghel said that the remains of the cow have been sent for post-mortem in the case. After receiving the report, further action will be taken as per rules.

On the other hand, Vishwa Hindu Parishad official Kailash Kushwaha alleged that earlier also incidents of cow parts being found in the same area had come to light, but despite complaints, no concrete action was taken. He has demanded to take strict action against the culprits.
