Uttarakhand: Chief Minister Dhami Inaugurates Student Skill Enhancement Lab On Wheels

Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami inaugurated Lab on Wheels (Infosys Springboard) from the Chief Minister Camp Office for the purpose of skill development of students.

State Bureau, Jagran, Dehradun. Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Thursday flagged off Lab on Wheels (Infosys Springboard) from the Chief Minister Camp Office for the purpose of skill development of students.

Through this mobile lab, students will be provided hands-on training in Artificial Intelligence (AI), coding, Internet of Things and other emerging technologies. Besides, facility to learn various experiments of science subjects in virtual mode will also be provided.

The Chief Minister said that Lab on Wheels will prove to be an effective platform for learning by doing for the students. This will increase the technical proficiency of the students and they will be able to develop skills as per future requirements.

He said that Infosys Springboard Lab on Wheels will visit educational institutions across the state for the next five years to create awareness among students, provide them with practical training and connect them with global opportunities.

This initiative will be helpful in addressing the lack of hands-on training for students in the state. The practical and experimental facilities available in the lab will prove useful for the students pursuing higher education, technical education and school education.

This will boost the innovative ability of students and develop employment-oriented skills. On this occasion, Cantt MLA Savita Kapoor, Pramod Nainwal, Vice Chairman of Higher Education Upgradation Committee Dr. Devendra Bhasin, Secretary Higher Education Dr. Ranjit Kumar Sinha were present.
