The weather patterns have changed in the hilly areas and severe cold in the morning and evening has also returned. At the same time, due to dry weather in the plains, the mercury remains higher than normal.
Today on Tuesday also, the weather is likely to remain dry in the low lying areas and there are chances of light rain and snowfall at isolated places in the hilly areas.
On Monday, it was sunny in Dehradun since morning. Due to strong sunlight throughout the day, the temperature remained higher than normal.
At the same time, the minimum temperature is also being recorded three degrees Celsius more than normal these days.
On the other hand, clouds are continuing in the hilly districts since Sunday and light rain was also recorded at some places. There were also snowfall on Kedarnath, Badrinath and other peaks.
According to the Director of Meteorological Center, it may be cloudy and light rain is possible in Uttarkashi, Chamoli and Pithoragarh today on Tuesday. Snow may occur in areas at altitudes above 3000 metres.
The weather is expected to remain dry in the remaining districts. The weather in Dehradun is expected to be dry to partly cloudy.
