Jagran correspondent, Bareilly. Despite having an Ayushman card, the victim woman has not been able to show the entire bill in the case of charging Rs 5.50 lakh in the name of treatment. The woman says that she had got treatment at Sunrise Hospital located at Hundred Feet, but the hospital management not only confiscated her Ayushman but also recovered money from it during the treatment of her husband.
Till now he has not even received the money back. The CMO has investigated the woman's complaint and now along with recovery from the hospital, preparations are also being made to take action against her. Lakshmi Devi, resident of Jhijhri, Bhamora, had admitted her 31-year-old husband Urvesh to Sunrise Hospital located at Hundred Feet when his health deteriorated.
The hospital staff, after seeing his Ayushman card, told him that he would not have to pay anything for the treatment. The woman alleges that after admitting her husband, the hospital staff took payment of about Rs 5.50 from her several times between September 25 and October 2. Despite this, her husband also lost his life due to negligence in treatment.
After this, the woman complained about this to the Divisional Commissioner along with the DM and other officials but no hearing was held anywhere. During investigation, the woman was able to show only 50 percent of the expenses as stated in the bill.
After the ongoing investigation at the CMO level, preparations are being made to take action against the hospital along with the amount recovered from the woman from the hospital operator. However, the victim woman Lakshmi Devi says that she has not yet received any money back from the hospital. If the hearing is not held, she will go to Lucknow and complain to the higher authorities.
AD Health also has to submit investigation report to the Divisional Commissioner
After Lakshmi Devi's complaint, Divisional Commissioner Bhupendra S Chaudhary had asked for the investigation report of this case from AD Health Dr. Tejpal. He had also called both the parties for questioning. He says that the woman has yet to show the bills etc. papers of the amount spent during the treatment. Ayushman card was also asked from her but she could not show it. However, later on checking online, it was found to be correct that the woman's Ayushman card was valid. Soon its investigation report will be sent to the Divisional Commissioner.
The investigation related to Sunrise Hospital has been completed. In this case, along with taking action against the hospital management, preparations are also being made for recovery from it.
