Digital Desk, New Delhi. Due to the activation of Western Disturbance, the weather in the mountains has suddenly changed. Heavy snowfall is also being seen in Himachal Pradesh. Meanwhile, the Indian Air Force (IAF) launched an emergency operation to save a sick woman and brought her to Chandigarh by helicopter.
This case is of Dhanderwari village of Himachal Pradesh. The 85-year-old paralyzed woman was airlifted by an Air Force Cheetah helicopter and admitted to a hospital in Chandigarh.
Operation conducted at a height of 9000 feet
This rescue operation was conducted at a height of 9000 feet above sea level. During this period, visibility was very low due to heavy snowfall. IAF has also released the video of this operation on social media.

Sharing the post on Twitter, IAF wrote, "IAF's Cheetah helicopter conducted emergency medical operation for an 85-year-old paralyzed woman at Dhanderwari (9000 feet above sea level) in Himachal Pradesh. The woman was airlifted from Himachal Pradesh to Chandigarh."
All the roads were closed due to snowfall. The mission to save lives was successful amidst low visibility and snowfall. Due to timely treatment, there has been a lot of improvement in the condition of the woman.

Snow storm alert in Himachal
Due to western disturbance, a lot of snow is falling in Himachal Pradesh. Especially in Shilaru and Kothi, snowfall of up to 5 cm has been recorded. At the same time, the Indian Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an alert of snow storm with lightning, strong winds and thunder at many places in the state.
