Gold and silver prices skyrocket in Chandigarh, record fall in two days

Jagran correspondent, Chandigarh. There is a continuous decline in the prices of gold and silver. There has been a huge decline in the prices of precious metals in the last two days, due to which the turmoil in the bullion market has intensified.

Compared to January 31, on February 2, 24 carat gold became cheaper by ₹ 11,000 per 10 grams from ₹ 1,65,000 to ₹ 1,54,000. Similarly, 22 carat gold fell by ₹ 10,100 from ₹ 1,51,700 to ₹ 1,41,600.

Declines were also seen in other categories. 18 carat gold became cheaper by ₹8,500 to ₹1,18,400, 14 carat gold became cheaper by ₹6,800 to ₹94,400. The price of gold sovereign also fell by ₹8,200 to ₹1,18,300.

Sharp decline in silver prices also

Silver prices have also fallen sharply. Silver declined by ₹325 to ₹270 per gram, while silver coin fell to ₹3,300 from ₹3,900. According to bullion traders, this decline in prices is being seen due to weakness in the international market and lack of demand. Due to lower prices, purchases in the market are expected to increase in the coming days.
