Digital Desk, Indore. Villagers surrounded and beat up six people returning to Indore by car on the suspicion of being a child lifter near Simlavada under Bilpank police station in Ratlam district. The incident took place on Wednesday afternoon in Jhalrapara village located on Indore Four Lane. Police rescued four people from the crowd, while two youths escaped. Denominated notes of Rs 10 and Rs 20 were also found in the car. All the people traveling in the car (DL 08- CAD 4447) are said to be residents of Ghatabillaud area (Dhar). He was returning to Indore after visiting Sanwaliyaji temple in Rajasthan.
According to the information, the car stopped at a dhaba near Jhalrapara at around 12:30 pm. During this time the villagers passing by became suspicious. Within no time, the rumor of a child-lifting gang spread and a large number of villagers gathered. The villagers surrounded the car riders and people including women started fighting with kicks and punches.
The angry mob broke the windshield and glass of the car with stones and sticks. In the trunk of the car in which these people were traveling, notes made for entertainment of Rs 10 and 20 were found. However, the police have not confirmed regarding the notes.
During the fight, two youths fled from the spot, while the remaining four were caught by the villagers. On information, outpost in-charge Lokendra Singh Dawar arrived with the police force and freed everyone from the crowd, took them in a vehicle and took them to Bilpank police station, where they are being interrogated.

The youth in the car told the police that they were returning after visiting the Sanvliyaji temple. He also showed the receipt of Chikaliya toll post of Ratlam at 11:51 am. He says that he had stopped at the dhaba for food and toilet, when some people mistook him for a child lifter and started beating him. Satarunda outpost in-charge Lokendra Singh Dawar said that everyone is being interrogated. Confirmation is also being done from the areas where information has been given about being residents. At present, no official complaint of child theft has come to light.
