Virat Kohli completed 16 thousand runs in List-A cricket

After 15 years, playing for Delhi in domestic cricket, he created history against Andhra Pradesh. King Kohli's name got registered on the pages of history with the first run in this match being played in Bengaluru. The former Indian captain has become the second player to score 16000 runs in List-A cricket. During this, he also broke the mega record of the great Sachin Tendulkar.

Virat Kohli Breaks Sachin Tendulkar Record: Virat Kohli has broken the big record of Sachin Tendulkar. In the first match of Vijay Hazare Trophy 2025, Kohli has completed 16 thousand runs of his List-A career in the match against Andhra Pradesh. He has become the second player in history to do so. 37 year old Kohli has become the 9th player and the fourth player from Asia to achieve this milestone.
King Kohli (Kohli fastest 16000 list-a cricket runs) has broken the record of Master Blaster and has become the fastest player to score 16 thousand runs in List-A cricket history. Kohli made this big record of his List-A cricket in his 330th innings, whereas Tendulkar had achieved this milestone during his 391st innings.
In this way the Delhi star scored the fastest 16 thousand runs. Before this, Kohli scored the fastest 10 thousand, 11 thousand, 12 thousand, 13 thousand, 14 thousand, 15 thousand runs. Even in ODI cricket, he scored the fastest 8 thousand, 9 thousand, 10 thousand, 11 thousand, 12 thousand, 13 thousand and 14 thousand runs.
Kohli averages more than 50
Not only this, Kohli is one of the nine players who have scored 16 thousand runs in List-A cricket, whose average is more than 50. Kohli's average is 57.34. After him, Sachin's average is 45.54. Only three players in List-A cricket have a higher average than King Kohli, with Michael Bevan at the top, who has scored 15,103 runs at an average of 57.86. He is followed by Sam Hain (3,004 runs, 57.76 average) and Rituraj Gaikwad (4,647 runs, 57.37 average).
After Virat Kohli and Sachin Tendulkar, the next Indian player to reach this milestone was Sourav Ganguly. He ended his career with 15,622 runs at an average of 41.32 with 31 centuries and 9 half-centuries. Rahul Dravid also crossed the 15,000-run mark and retired with 15,271 runs.
