Digital Desk, New Delhi. The Pakistan government on Saturday made it clear that if former Prime Minister Imran Khan's son comes to the country, there is no restriction on him meeting his jailed father.

The government official also said that if the two brothers wanted to visit him, they would be given Pakistani visas. The statement came after reports that authorities had imposed unannounced restrictions on meetings with Imran Khan, claiming that some of the visitors were using the meetings to push a political agenda.

What did the minister of Shahbaz government say?

"There is no restriction on Suleman Khan and Qasim Khan from meeting their father Imran Khan in Rawalpindi's Adiala jail," Minister of State for Home Talal Chaudhary told reporters.

Choudhary said, "If Suleman and Qasim apply for Pakistani visas, we will give them. We will not stop them from meeting their father; therefore, the propaganda that the Pakistani government is putting obstacles in the way for fathers and sons to meet must stop." He also rejected reports that Khan was being kept in solitary confinement for 23 hours a day.

Imran's family expressed concern about this matter

Following these reports, his family members and Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) expressed concern over the conditions in which he is being kept. Suleman and Qasim, who currently live in London, are Khan's sons from his first marriage to British TV personality Jemima Goldsmith. Chaudhary's statement comes days after the brothers told Sky News they feared they might never see their jailed father again.

What did Imran Khan's sons say?

The brothers said they have not seen or spoken to the PTI founder, who is in jail since August 2023, for months and have expressed concerns about his safety and well-being. In their interviews, Imran's sons alleged that their father was being kept in isolation and described the conditions as "clear torture tactics".
