In order to ensure that daughters get married in modern marriage halls in villages as well as in cities, an initiative has been started in the direction of the government-run Vivaah Mandap Yojana. Under the scheme, land has so far been identified in 32 panchayats of the district.
An initiative has been started to provide an amount of Rs 16 crore for the construction of marriage halls in these identified panchayats, while instructions have been issued to provide land in the remaining panchayats also.
Now that this important scheme has been started in the district, it will definitely provide convenience to the fathers of poor daughters. In fact, lack of space is a major reason for problems in wedding processions and weddings.
Now that its implementation has been started, people will definitely get relief from these problems. Under the Chief Minister Kanya Vivah Mandap Yojana, one marriage pavilion is to be built in every Panchayat. The government has started this scheme with the aim of providing convenient places for the marriage of daughters of poor and economically weak families.
Under the scheme, search for land was started in all 174 panchayats of the district, out of which land has so far been available in 32 panchayats. Instructions have been given to all the circle officers to provide land in the remaining panchayats.
For this, 30 decimal land is required in each Panchayat. According to the information received from the District Panchayati Raj Office, Rs 50 lakh each will be spent on the construction of each marriage hall.
