Jagran correspondent, Chitrakoot. A father who was released from jail raped his minor daughter. The police have arrested the accused and got the victim medically examined. This incident which tarnishes the relationship took place in Karvi Kotwali area, although the accused is originally a resident of Bharatkup police station area.
The accused is a Class IV government employee and about two and a half years ago he had shot and killed his wife with a licensed revolver. Since then he was in jail. He was released from jail in the last week of January after getting bail from the High Court. He has three children, including a 14-year-old daughter. On Friday evening, he sent his younger son and daughter to the market on the pretext of getting them licked.
He forcibly raped the 14-year-old daughter present at home. This matter came to light in Karvi Kotwali on Sunday. The girl along with her uncle and other relatives reached the police station and informed the police about the incident. Initially the police were suspicious of the allegation, but when the relatives confirmed and the girl narrated the incident in detail, the police registered a case.

The victim was sent to the district hospital amid security arrangements and medical examination was done. Also, his statement was recorded under section 161 of the Code of Criminal Procedure. Kotwali in-charge Shyam Pratap Patel said that the accused has been arrested and is being produced in the court and sent to jail.
Wife was murdered on 13 June 2023
On June 13, 2023, while working in the Collectorate, the accused shot and killed his wife with his licensed revolver. The woman's maternal home is in Satna district of Madhya Pradesh. In this case, the brother-in-law of the accused had filed a report. After a dispute, the wife was living in her husband's native village located in Bharatkup police station area, where the accused had committed the murder. SP Arun Kumar Singh told that the accused father had a dispute with his wife over their daughter.
He had left his wife and two children in the village while he had kept his daughter here for education. Had done wrong thing with the daughter. When the wife expressed displeasure over the complaint, he was shot. At that time the daughter was scared and did not tell the society. However, this fact came to the fore during discussion. Now after being released from jail, he has done the same thing again.
