Digital Desk, New Delhi. After the attack on Venezuela, Iran is now on Trump's radar. Trump has threatened to impose a 25 percent tariff on countries doing business with Iran. Trump says that any country that buys goods from Iran will have to pay an additional 25 percent tariff on American trade.

This statement of Trump is likely to affect the trade of many countries. Especially India, China and United Arab Emirates (UAE) may have to suffer losses due to this.

US President Donald Trump, while sharing a post on the social media platform Truth, said, "Whichever country does business with Iran, that country will have to pay a 25 percent tariff to America with immediate effect. This is the final and decisive decision."

Which countries will be affected?

Let us tell you that China, Turkey, India, UAE, Pakistan and Armenia are the biggest trading partners of Iran. Citing the purchase of oil from Russia, America has already imposed a tariff of 50 percent on India. In such a situation, if tariff is also imposed on imports from Iran, then India may have to pay a tariff of 75 percent.

According to official data, there was trade worth $ 1.68 billion (Rs 15,158 crore) between India and Iran in the financial year 2024-25. In this, India exported (sold) goods worth 1.24 billion dollars (Rs 11,188 crore) to Iran and bought (purchased) goods worth 0.44 billion dollars (Rs 3,970 crore) from Iran.
