Gustakh Ishq will hit OTT
Entertainment Desk, New Delhi. Vibhu Puri's directorial venture 'Gustakh Ishq' was first screened at the Gala Premiere section of the 56th International Film Festival of India (IFFI), Goa. It was released in theaters on November 28, 2025. There were mixed reactions from the audience towards the film, although they praised and liked the acting of Vijay and Fatima. Now after much wait, the film is all set to stream on OTT this month.
What is the story of the film?
The film tells the story of Nawabuddin Saifuddin Rehman, a young man living in poverty with his mother and younger brother Jumman in Daryaganj, Old Delhi. Being the eldest son, Nawabuddin took up the responsibilities of the family from an early age. He learns that his late father's expensive printing press is lying idle. To honor his father's legacy, he wants to restart the printing firm. There is a big change in Nawabuddin's life when he goes to Punjab for business and falls in love with the daughter of an Urdu poet.

Old fashioned romance will be seen in the film
Vijay Varma has opened up about breaking his negative on-screen image and stepping into the world of old-fashioned romance as the lover boy in Manish Malhotra's production 'Gustak Ishq'. The film stars Vijay Verma in the role of Nawabuddin Saifuddin Rehman/Pappan, Fatima Sana Shaikh Minnie, Naseeruddin Shah in the role of Aziz Baig/Babba, Rohan Verma in the role of Jumma, Sharib Hashmi Bhure, and Natasha Rastogi in the role of mother. Gustak Ishq is produced by Manish Malhotra and Dinesh Malhotra under the banner of Stage5 Productions.
When and where will the film be released?
According to a report by Free Press Journal, this film will be released on JioHotstar from January 23.
