Communication Assistant, Runnisaidpur (Sitamarhi). On Saturday, a student's gold Hanumani (locket) went missing in middle school Athri. The student's relatives relied on superstition to find the lost item.
On the advice of a Tantrik, school children were fed raw colored rice, due to which dozens of children complained of feeling unwell. Later, after investigation, it was found that all this was an illusion of the children.
After minor treatment, all the children returned home safely. According to the information, school student Vartika's gold Hanumani went missing on Saturday.
Vartika's father Raju Chaudhary called a Tantrik who claimed that eating rice consecrated by him would catch the thief.
Vartika's relatives, who reached the school campus on Monday, fed raw colored rice to the school children. Many children complained of nausea and vomiting after eating rice.
Within no time, the parents of the children who reached the school got angry and a huge commotion broke out in the school premises.
Seeing the seriousness of the situation, local head Alok Kumar and Sarpanch Dukhharan Prasad Singh immediately called an ambulance. The sick children were taken to the primary health center, where doctors declared all the children out of danger after preliminary examination.
28 children reached the hospital
The children were given ORS solution and sent back. Hospital doctor Dr. Rakesh Ranjan said that a total of 28 children had reached the hospital. Of these, only eight complained of headache and stomach ache. Some of them were given paracetamol and ORS.
After this everyone went home safely. According to the doctor, the children were in trouble due to their delusions. Eating less than a handful of colored rice may not cause much problem.
