Jagran correspondent, Jalandhar. A 23-year-old youth died under suspicious circumstances on Wednesday morning in Avtar Nagar under Bhargava Camp police station of Jalandhar. The deceased has been identified as Sachin, a resident of Avtar Nagar. A wave of mourning has spread in the area due to the sudden death of the young man. However, different claims are coming forward regarding his death, due to which the matter has come into discussion.
Local people and former Jalandhar West MLA Sheetal Angural have expressed fear that the youth may have died due to drug addiction. At the same time, the family members of the deceased say that Sachin died due to heart attack and it is wrong to link it to drug addiction. According to family members, the young man's health suddenly deteriorated, after which he lost his life.
After the incident, there are various types of discussions among the people of the area. Some people say that Sachin was young and his death does not seem normal, hence the entire matter should be investigated impartially. The family says that they are hurt by any kind of rumors and do not want unnecessary controversy regarding their son's death.

Police did not receive written complaint
In this matter, Mohan Lal, in-charge of Bhargava Camp police station, said that the police has not yet received any written complaint in this regard. He said that at present the matter is not in his cognizance nor has any action been taken by the police. If the family or any other party gives a complaint, the police will investigate as per rules.

At the same time, former Jalandhar West MLA Sheetal Angural has given a sharp reaction on the internet media regarding this incident. While posting on Facebook, he alleged that despite the ongoing campaign against drugs in Jalandhar West, the situation is not improving. He claimed that a 23-year-old youth died of drug overdose in Bhargava Nagar area and cornered the government and the concerned minister on this issue.
At present the real reason for the death of the young man is not clear. No medical report or post-mortem information has been revealed by the police.
