Jagran correspondent, Bhagalpur. The youth died after being hit by a train near Nathnagar Purani Sarai between Bhagalpur and Sultanganj stations. Manish Kumar (20), elder son of Gholati Mandal, resident of Purani Sarai, had left the house for defecation at 4 pm on Saturday evening. He was crossing the track while returning from the garden after defecating. Meanwhile the train was passing. Due to which he got hit by the train.
According to eyewitnesses, Manish was thrown 25-30 feet after being hit by the side of the train. Due to which he was seriously injured. With the help of the villagers, the family admitted Manish to Jawaharlal Nehru Medical College Hospital (JLNMCH) in Mayaganj in critical condition. Where he died at six in the evening during treatment.
The young man used to work as a laborer.
The statement of the deceased's father has been recorded at the Barari Police Camp operated by the JLNMCH campus. It is said that Manish was listening to a song on mobile. Due to which he did not realize that the train was coming and became a victim of the accident. The father of the deceased told that his son Manish used to work as a labourer. There is no information about which train this accident happened.
