10 Bed De-addiction Ward Will Be Built In Every District Hospital Of Haryana, CM Saini Announced

State Bureau, Panchkula. Haryana Chief Minister Nayab Singh Saini discussed in detail the cleanliness system, waste management, strengthening the grievance redressal system and improving administrative capacity in the districts in a review meeting with good governance colleagues. Taking important steps to prevent drug addiction, the Chief Minister directed to create a 10-bed de-addiction ward in every district hospital.

He said that good governance partners should closely monitor the progress of this initiative and submit reports based on facts and evidence to help identify challenges at the ground level and timely implementation. Good governance associates informed the Chief Minister about the main challenges being faced at the ground level in the districts and the new innovative works being done in their respective districts.

He talked about issues related to waste segregation, cleaning of drains, repairing sewerage system, lack of manpower and lack of awareness among people. Dr. Yashpal, Project Director of Chief Minister Good Governance Associate Program also participated in the meeting.

Addressing the corporation commissioners who attended the meeting through video conferencing, the Chief Minister directed them to strengthen the waste management along with cleanliness in their respective areas. He stressed the need for regular cleaning of drains and sewer lines and prompt removal of blockages in sewerage and expeditious completion of all pending cleaning works.

The Chief Minister said that the Corporation Commissioner will act as the nodal officer for all complaints related to sewerage in the respective districts and will work closely with the Public Health Department. He instructed that no file should remain pending without any reason. Commissioner and Secretary (Public Health) Mohammad Shine, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister Dr. Saket Kumar, Director General Urban Local Bodies Ashok Kumar Meena, Director General Information and Public Relations Department KM Pandurang attended the meeting.
