Verification Date Extended In UP SIR, Now Final Voter List Will Be Released On April 15

Jagran correspondent, Mau. Verification of duplicate voters is 42 percent left. Its date was ending on 20th February. To complete this task, changes have been made in the three-tier Panchayat Voter Revision Program. The final publication of the voter list will be done on April 15.

Provisional publication of names of 13,29,620 voters has been done in 645 gram panchayats of the district. After its publication, a list of 5,24,730 names considered suspicious was sent to the election office for verification.

The list of doubtful voters was sent to the development block office of the election office. Verification of 3,04,578 voters was done from all the nine blocks. In this, 2,78,247 voters were found valid.

At the same time, names of 26,331 voters were registered in the voter list twice. Because of this these names were struck off. Verification of duplicate voters was to be done by February 20. But only 58 percent verification work of duplicate voters could be completed.

The verification work of the remaining 42 percent voters will be completed by March 16. Also, the work of SVN allocation and downloading will be done till 13th April. At the same time, the last lighting which was supposed to happen on March 28 will now be done on April 15.
