Samvad Sutra, Phulwaria (Gopalganj). Bihar News: Scientific survey work continued for the fourth consecutive day after possible indications of crude oil and other mineral elements were found in Gidhaa, Phulwaria and surrounding villages of the block.
The investigation campaign was intensified at the identified sites on the banks of river Jharhi located in Gidha Bengali Colony and at a distance of about 200 meters from Phulwaria Railway Station.
The survey work is being done by ONGC through state-of-the-art machines. On Friday, the survey team collected water samples from various places by boring deeply with a drill machine at selected points.
These samples are being sent to the concerned laboratories for testing, so that the geological structure and possible mineral elements can be confirmed.
Officials monitoring the work said that first of all the potential areas are marked with hi-tech equipment. After this the process of drilling is adopted.
Internal waves are being studied inside the ground
Controlled explosions are also being carried out at some places, so that the internal waves generated within the surface can be studied.
By analyzing the data obtained from special instruments, the structure of the rocks, the condition of the mineral elements and the presence of possible crude oil are assessed.

According to officials, now with the help of state-of-the-art machines, detailed data up to a depth of 250 feet will be collected and a scientific report will be prepared.
On the basis of this report, it will be clear what is the average amount of mineral elements or crude oil in the area and whether there is a practical possibility of excavation in future or not. There is curiosity among the local people about the survey. Officials have clarified that the entire process is scientific and controlled and there is no danger from it.
