Digital Desk, Muzaffarpur. Budhi Gandak Bridge Construction: An important step has been taken towards strengthening the infrastructure in the district. Bihar Government Road Construction Department has given administrative approval for the construction of additional work and link road of the proposed high level RCC bridge on the Budhi Gandak river near Jagannath Mishra College under Muzaffarpur district.
This information has been posted on X by the department. According to this plan, a high level RCC bridge of 12×25 meter size is already proposed on the Budhi Gandak river.
Along with this, a total of 2950 meter length approach road (approach road) connected to the bridge will be constructed under Phase-2. This involves road construction in two separate stretches of 2200 meters and 750 metres.
The Road Construction Department has given administrative approval of a total of Rs 12,093.11 lakh for this additional work. According to departmental officials, after the completion of the project, transportation between urban and rural areas will become much easier and people will get relief from traffic related problems.
People of Jagannath Mishra College and surrounding areas will get relief from the problems they face especially during the rainy season. The new bridge and connectivity road will not only strengthen regional connectivity, but will also ease access to trade, education and health services.
The Road Construction Department said that after the administrative approval, the construction work will be started soon after completing the technical processes, so that the project can be completed within the stipulated time.
