Date of Railway Group B exam changed, now the exam will be held in April instead of March.
Jagran correspondent, Prayagraj. A big update has come for the employees waiting for promotion to Group 'B' posts in Indian Railways. Railway Board has changed the dates of departmental competitive examination. Earlier this examination was scheduled to be held on March 8, but now the board has decided to postpone it and conduct it in the month of April.
New order of Deputy Director of Railway Board
According to the new order issued by Mandeep Kumar, Deputy Director of Railway Board, now this main examination will be conducted on two different dates. The board has decided that the exam will be held on 12th and 19th April. In this, the arrangement has been made that half i.e. 50 percent candidates of each department will appear for the examination on the first date and the remaining half candidates will appear on the second date. CPRO Shashikant Tripathi said that the examination will be held on the new dates only.
Send information to RRB Ajmer
For this, all railway zones and production units have been instructed to distribute the candidates and send their information to RRB Ajmer within 15 days so that arrangements for the examination centers can be made on time.
Preparation to fill the vacant posts in 2025-26
This entire process is being done to fill the vacant posts under 2025-26, which also includes the possible vacancies till June 2027. This means that in the coming time a large number of railway employees are going to get a chance to become officers.
Exam result will be declared on 11th
The result of the exam will be declared by RRB Ajmer by 11th May. After this, the final list of successful candidates for promotion by all zones and production units i.e. the final panel will be prepared by June 8. This time approximately 1.75 lakh (1,75,000) Group 'C' railway employees from various zones and production units of Railways will appear in this examination.
