Jagran correspondent, Gopeshwar (Chamoli). Investigation has started into the matter of offering Namaz in the auditorium of Jyotirmath Municipal Council, the winter seat of Badrinath. On the instructions of District Magistrate Gaurav Kumar, SDM Chandrashekhar Vashishtha is investigating the case.
The municipal administration has locked the auditorium. The municipality has given this auditorium to the sports department for table tennis training. These days repair work is going on here. The issue of Namaz being held in the auditorium came to light after a video was broadcast on Thursday. After this, Hindu organizations came out in protest.
Municipality President Deveshwari Shah admitted that verbal permission was given at her level, but after the dispute the auditorium has been closed. People are now demanding verification.
