10 Thousand Kilos Of Explosives Found In The Field, Wires Connecting To Delhi Blast Case; NIA Will Interrogate

Jagran correspondent, Jaipur. Police have recovered 10 thousand kg of ammonium nitrate and other explosive materials from a field in Harsaur village of Nagaur district in Rajasthan. It was collected and kept in 187 sacks in four different rooms built on the farm.

Police seized explosive material and arrested the farm owner Suleman Khan. Preliminary investigation and interrogation revealed that the accused was going to supply this explosive material to illegal miners. Even before this, the police took action on the information of the informer.

It is feared that the cache of explosives recovered in Faridabad before the Red Fort blast in Delhi and this case may be linked. However, the police is not sharing official information about this.

Nagaur Superintendent of Police Mridul Kachhawa said that the District Special Team (DST) of the police and Thanwala police station took action on Sunday night and recovered more than 9,550 kg of ammonium nitrate and other explosive materials packed in 187 sacks from Suleman's farm. These also include red and blue wires.

The Superintendent of Police said that a case has been registered against the accused under various sections. Suleman is being interrogated. Police are investigating from where Suleman used to get the explosive material and to whom he supplied it. Three cases are already registered against the accused in different police stations regarding recovery of explosives.

NIA and CBI team arrived for investigation

Teams of central investigating agencies NIA and CBI also reached Nagaur late on Monday evening to investigate the case. Meanwhile, the health of accused Suleman suddenly deteriorated on Monday morning. The police have admitted him to the government hospital in Ajmer.
