In Khagaria, A 14-year-old 10th Class Student Committed Suicide By Shooting Herself In The Head, Ended Her Life Before The Board Exams.

A sensational and heart-wrenching incident has taken place in Rankodih village under Mufassil police station of Khagaria. 14-year-old Omraj, younger son of Praveen Kumar Singh, who runs a private school in the said village, ended his life by shooting himself in the head.

Relatives said that he was a 10th class student of PM Kendriya Vidyalaya Khagaria and he had to appear in the board examination to be held from February 17. Here, on information, Mofussil police station incharge Amarjit Pratap Singh along with the team took stock of the incident site.

After completing the necessary procedures, the body was sent to Sadar Hospital for post-mortem. The incident is said to have happened on the night of 25th January. A country-made pistol, a bullet casing and a cartridge have been seized by the police from the said room. The forensic team has inspected the incident site.

Here, the deceased's uncle Naveen Singh told that both his father's kidneys have failed. Praveen, his wife and Omraj stayed at home and took care of their father. He lives with his family in Sanhauli. Got a call from home late on Sunday night. When he went home, there was chaos there.

On asking, the brother told that the Saraswati idol was being immersed in front of the gate. Along with playing music, people were also bursting firecrackers. During this, Omraj went to the room to study like other days. There is a possibility that at that very moment he might have taken such a dangerous decision and got shot.

After 10 pm, when Omraj went to ask for dinner, he did not hear from the room. Even after many attempts, when the room did not open, fearing something untoward, the door was broken and Omraj was found lying bleeding inside. After that the police was informed.

When asked about any suspicion on anyone, the relatives said that the room was locked from inside, hence it would not be appropriate to suspect anyone. Police Station Head Amarjeet Pratap Singh said that the forensic team has gone to investigate. Post mortem has been done. The statement of the relative has also not come. A thorough investigation is being conducted.
