This restaurant named Le Grand Buffet, located in the city of Narbonne in southern France, has won the Guinness World Records record for serving the world's largest cheese plate. There are options for every taste, from famous French cheeses like Camembert, Rableshon, Mouvie Marroy and Raclette to blue veined, soft, hard and pressed cheeses.

37 years old tradition, grand style of buffet

This all-you-can-eat buffet restaurant was started in 1989 by Louis and Jane Priva. Around 150 classic French dishes are served here at a fixed price. The special thing is that the menu also includes recipes of the famous 19th century chef Auguste Escoffier. Calculate the price of food in this restaurant in such a way that every person here gets the option of unlimited food for approximately 67.50 Euros (about Rs 7,300).

The restaurant is also known for its signature Pressed Duck Ceremony, in which cheese duck is prepared in the traditional manner. About 4 lakh customers come here every year, and advance booking has to be done several months in advance. With an annual turnover of around Rs 300 crore, it is the highest grossing restaurant in France.

The 30 meter long cheese plate is prepared in a special temperature-controlled room to ensure that the taste and texture of each cheese is preserved. The experienced fromagers also advise guests on the perfect wine pairing with cheese, making the dining experience even more memorable.
