12 Year Old Child Falls From Roof While Flying Kite In Sangrur, Dies Painfully

Jagran correspondent, Sangrur. A 12-year-old boy, who was flying a kite with his friends on a three-storey building under construction in nearby village Tungan, died after falling from it. The deceased was the only son of his family.

The seriously injured child was found to have fallen from the roof several hours after the incident, after which the family took him in an injured condition to the hospital in Sangrur, from where he was referred to Patiala. The child died on the way.

After the incident, there is an atmosphere of mourning not only in the family but in the entire village. The child was cremated on Monday afternoon.

12-year-old Harjot Singh, son of Gurpreet Singh, resident of village Tungan, was flying kites on the roof of the newly constructed house with his friends on Sunday. While kite flying, he fell down from the lift space in the house, due to which he got seriously injured.

Immediately after the incident, the children who were flying kites with Harjot Singh ran away to their homes out of fear. Villager Kuldeep Singh told that when Harjot Singh's family started searching for him in the evening, it was found that Harjot was flying a kite in a nearby under-construction house, where the family reached and saw the child lying in an injured condition.

Kuldeep Singh told that at that time Harjot was talking, who was taken to the hospital in an injured condition, from where he was referred to Patiala, who died on the way. Kuldeep told that there was a space left vacant for installing a lift in the under construction house, where these children were flying kites, suddenly Harjot fell down from this vacant space.
