Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra, MLA Kulwant Rana and other Jagrans participating in the 60th celebration of Dadhichi Deh Daan Samiti in Rohini on Sunday.

The 60th anniversary of Dadhichi Body Donation Committee Northern Region was celebrated with devotion and determination on Sunday in the auditorium of Shaheed Sukhdev College, Rohini Sector-16. On this occasion, 129 people registered for body donation and 355 people registered for organ donation. The program started with Sankhanad.
Rashtriya Swayamsevak Sangh's Provincial Sangh Director Dr. Anil Aggarwal, Union Minister of State Harsh Malhotra, DDC Chairman North-West Delhi and Rithala MLA Kulwant Rana, Delhi Arya Pratinidhi Mandal General Secretary Vinay Arya and many distinguished guests were present in the program. The program was presided over by Gyan Prakash Tayal, coordinator of Dadhichi Body Donation Committee Northern Region.
At the beginning of the program, the students and the crowd present were made aware about body donation and organ donation through short film clips. On this occasion, 81 such families were honoured, who contributed in saving many lives by donating the bodies or organs of their relatives. MLA Kulwant Rana himself filled the resolution form and appealed to the people to participate in this noble cause.
Vinay Arya explained the importance of organ and body donation in the context of Vedic traditions. Dr. Anil Aggarwal explained the importance of body donation in Indian culture through the stories of Dadhichi Rishi and King Shiva. Union Minister Harsh Malhotra explained the usefulness of body donation from medical point of view. The committee said that till now 506 body donations, more than 1300 eye donations and thousands of organ donations have been made.
