17 Urban Health And Wellness Centers Will Open In Samastipur Under Ayushman Bharat Scheme, Rs 19.88 Crore Will Be Spent

Prakash Kumar, Samastipur. Urban Health and Wellness Centers will be opened at 17 places in the district under Jan Arogya Pradhan Mantri Ayushman Bharat Yojana. The health department has started preparations for this. The government has received approval to construct urban health and wellness centers in four newly formed urban areas in the district. With this, the common people are expected to get great relief in treatment.

Urban health and wellness centers will be built at 11 sites under Samastipur Municipal Corporation. Apart from this, two urban health and wellness centers will be constructed under Municipal Council Patori, one each under Municipal Council Rosra and Tajpur and two under Municipal Panchayat Singhia. Land has been made available to build these centres. The Health Department has given approval regarding this.

After technical approval by BMSICL, DPR has been prepared and the process has been started. Rs 19 crore 88 lakh 15 thousand will be spent on this. Funds for the project have been approved from the urban component of the 15th Finance Commission. Apart from this, health and wellness centers will also be constructed in Municipal Council Dalsinghsarai, Nagar Panchayat Musrigharari and Singhia.

Hospital will be built at these places in Municipal Corporation Samastipur

Under the Municipal Corporation, land has been made available for construction of buildings in Harpur Eloth, Rahmatpur, Dudhpura, Garuara, Dhuralakh, Bhamrupur, Mohanpur, Lagunia Raghukanth of Samastipur block, Bhagirathpur of Kalyanpur block, Partapur, Sari of Warisnagar block.

Urban health and wellness centers are also to be built in Rahimabad under Municipal Council Tajpur, Hasanpur Surat under Municipal Council Shahpur Patori, Asrafpur Supaul, Mirzapur under Municipal Council Rosra and Jhakhra and Sherpur Nursery under Nagar Panchayat Sarairanjan. The State Health Committee has approved Rs 1 crore 16 lakh 95 thousand for each urban health and wellness centre.

Patients will get convenience in getting treatment

The establishment of Health and Wellness Centers in the new urban areas of the district is expected to provide great relief to the people. At present, the patients of these urban areas either have to go to remote areas for treatment or they have to go directly to the Sadar Hospital or Sub-Divisional Hospital to get their treatment. After the establishment of Health and Wellness Center in the city area, people will not need to go to far-flung areas for treatment.
