UP and Japan will create a new history of strategic partnership

A new chapter of a historic strategic partnership has begun between Uttar Pradesh and Yamanashi Province of Japan. Important agreements regarding industry, tourism and technical education were signed in the high-level talks held between Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath and Yamanashi Governor Kotaro Nagasaki on Thursday. This partnership will not only give new heights to economic development but will also deepen the cultural ties between the two countries.
Mega visit of 200 Japanese CEOs in August
During the talks, Governor Kotaro Nagasaki has made a big proposal considering the investment potential of Uttar Pradesh. He expressed his desire to visit UP with 200 top Chief Executive Officers (CEOs) of Japan in the coming month of August, which was warmly welcomed by the Chief Minister. This proposed tour will prove to give a new impetus to industrial investment and international partnership in the state, which will create thousands of new employment opportunities.
Focus on green hydrogen and clean energy
In the MoU signed between the two governments, special priority has been given to green hydrogen and clean energy innovation. The Chief Minister shared that the Uttar Pradesh government is developing IIT Kanpur as a 'Center of Excellence' in the field of green hydrogen. This initiative will strengthen Prime Minister Narendra Modi's vision of energy self-reliance and will make UP the leading state of the country in the direction of environmental protection.
Vision of 'Japan Industrial Township' in Yaida
The Chief Minister assured the Japanese investors that UP is today working on the model of 'Scale, Skill and Speed'. Amidst the strong infrastructure and investment friendly environment present in the state, Invest UP's 'Japan Desk' is providing all possible assistance to the investors. Along with this, the proposed 'Japan Industrial Township' in the Yamuna Expressway Industrial Development Authority (YEIDA) area is going to prove to be the biggest and special investment opportunity for Japanese companies.
Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has described this agreement as a symbol of mutual trust and shared economic vision. This partnership is a decisive step towards Uttar Pradesh's resolve to make it a trillion dollar economy.
