Jagran correspondent, Noida. The election bugle of Noida Entrepreneurs Association (NEA), the oldest industrial organization in the industrial city, has sounded. The day of election voting has been fixed for 17th January. On Thursday, election officials finalized the voter list and pasted it on the NEA building.
Election officer Rakesh Katyal said that till December 31, the membership renewal process for entrepreneurs to participate in the elections was going on at the office. After completion, the voter list was finalized on Thursday. This time a list of 2027 entrepreneurs has been prepared for voting, which is a record vote in itself.
These voters will form the new executive for 2026-27. Distribution of forms to participate in the election process has started. The form costs Rs 200 per person, while to get the voter list, Rs 500 will have to be deposited at the office. He told that the last time in the year 2011, NEA elections were decided through a competition between two panels.
After this, without any other panel coming in the election, Vipin Kumar Malhan and VK Seth panel were elected unopposed but the election process was conducted in a completely democratic manner. This time too, after the announcement of elections, the election process will be conducted after the arrival of the second panel.
Let us tell you that this time the biggest election panel is going to be included. There will be an executive committee of 24 entrepreneur candidates, while the EC members will be around 142. This means that this will be the first organization in NCR whose executive body will be so big.
About 44 members are being included more in the election process because in 2023-24, a panel of 132 people along with 18 executive members had contested the election, but no other panel came against this panel.
