UP NEET PG 2025 third round counseling starts from Friday
State Bureau, Jagran, Lucknow: The third round counseling of UP NEET PG 2025 started from Friday. After reducing the cutoff, 252 candidates have registered online on the first day. Time has been given till 2 pm on February 1 for online registration and deposit of earnest money.
About 1,200 seats in private medical colleges are vacant in the third round of counselling. According to the Directorate General of Medical Education, due to reduction in cutoff, more candidates are likely to participate in counselling.
In NEET PG counselling, there are 2,180 MD-MS seats in government and 2,765 private medical colleges. After two rounds of counselling, about 1,200 seats in these private medical colleges are left vacant. Private medical colleges have reduced the tuition fees of non-clinic subjects Anatomy, Physiology, Microbiology, Biochemistry, Forensic Medicine, Community Medicine, Pharmacology by lakhs of rupees. To fill the vacant seats, tuition fees have been increased from zero to Rs 11 thousand in many subjects. With this they hope to fill the vacant seats.
According to the Directorate General of Medical Education, the merit list of the third round of counseling will be released on February 2 and time to lock the seats online will be available from February 3 to 7 at 11 am. The result of seat allotment will be declared on February 9. Candidates will be able to download the allotment letter and complete the admission process from February 9 to February 13.
