Jagran correspondent, Bulandshahr. The District Police has recovered stolen and lost mobile phones of 151 different companies and handed them over to their real owners. The value of the recovered mobile phone is said to be Rs 38 lakh. Police recovered the mobiles by conducting a special operation in the month of December. The police, acting on the complaints received on the CEIR portal, have recovered the mobiles.
SSP Dinesh Kumar Singh said that on the instructions of the government, the police is effectively running a campaign to recover lost mobile phones across the district. He said that the police team made excellent use of technical surveillance and local information system based on the missing complaints registered on the CEIR portal.
Due to this, the mobile phone lost in the month of December could be successfully tracked and recovered. The recovery of these mobiles has not only prevented personal loss to the citizens, but has also effectively prevented the possibility of their misuse.
The CEIR portal is specifically designed for the purpose of tracking lost and stolen mobile phones and preventing misuse.
SSP said that the police team recovered 151 mobile phones in the month of December and handed them over to their rightful owners. There is no limit to the happiness of mobile owners after finding stolen and lost phones. He appreciated this work of the police.
