7 Health Workers Found Missing During Surprise Inspection In West Champaran, Medical Officer In-charge Sought Clarification

Dialogue thread, Bagaha. Gross negligence by the personnel has come to light during the vaccination campaign in Bagaha Do block. Regarding this, Medical Officer in-charge Dr. Rajesh Singh Neeraj has sought clarification from all the health workers. The in-charge has taken a strict stance towards careless health workers and ANMs.

He said that an explanation has been sought from the seven ANMs who remained absent without any prior notice during the vaccination. The concerned personnel have been instructed to give their views in writing.

The names of careless vaccine workers include Komal Kumari (Health Sub-centre Barwal), Kumari Jyoti (Health Sub-centre Bairati), Priya Kumari (Health Sub-centre Charhiya), Kanchan Kumari (Health Sub-centre Tasuanwa), Shweta Bharti (Health Sub-centre Piprakutty), Shweta Kumari (Health Sub-centre Sirji Brahmapur) and Archana Kumari (Health Sub-centre Jharharwa).

The medical officer in charge has mentioned in the letter that in the light of the instructions received from senior officials, the vaccination program proposed on Friday, January 2 was to be conducted on Monday, January 5, but the above mentioned ANMs were found absent from their respective vaccination sites without any information.

This has been considered as negligence, indifference and disobedience of orders towards a very important and ambitious program of the government. Dr. Rajesh Singh Neeraj told that due to this negligence, the honorarium/salary of the concerned ANM is being cut for that day.

Also, everyone has been instructed to submit a clear and satisfactory explanation to the undersigned within 24 hours from the date of issue of the letter. Otherwise they will be reported to higher authorities for departmental action against them. Describing it as a serious matter, he warned that such a thing should not happen again in future.
