7 vicious criminals of UP arrested
Communication Associate, Biraul (Darbhanga). Police have arrested seven miscreants along with two kilos of silver jewelery stolen from the jewelery shop of Kiratpur market of Jamalpur police station on December 12. Two country made pistols and five cartridges have been recovered from them.
Among the arrested miscreants, six are from Nagoi police station of Shahjahanpur district and one from the assigned police station of Hathras district. The police is taking further action on their trail. Rural SP Alok Biraul gave this information in the police station premises on Saturday.
Information was received around 4:20 in the morning
He told that at around 4:20 am on Friday morning, Ghanshyampur police station incharge received information that six-seven suspicious persons were running towards village Dohatha under Ghanshyampur police station after committing a theft incident in Kiratpur market of Jamalpur police station area.
As soon as the information was received, Ghanshyampur police station chief reached the spot with his team. As soon as they saw the police vehicle, the suspects started running here and there. Due to noise amid the chaos, the villagers also woke up and started chasing them along with the police. Meanwhile, a suspect fired one round at the police.

However, there was no loss of life or property in this incident. After this, the police laid siege with the help of the villagers and caught a total of seven suspects on the spot.
They have been identified as Budhpal Singh (65), son of Hukum Singh of Ishapur Jhala of Nagai police station in Shahjahanpur district of Uttar Pradesh, Bir Singh (30), son of Late Omkar, Late. Prasadi (55), son of Dular, Dharmapal (25), son of Late Thoma Ram of Balrampur, Late. Seva Singh (32), son of Ram Singh, late. Mangal Singh alias Mau, son of Narayan Singh and Kanhaiya Lal (34), son of Omprakash, resident of Mehrabagh, assigned police station of Hathras district.
Weapons and jewelery recovered
Apart from weapons, cartridges, jewellery, mobile phone, tools used for breaking locks and shutters, bag and receipt book of Manoj Jewellers, they were recovered from them. During interrogation, the miscreants admitted that the recovered jewelery was stolen from Manoj Jewelers located in Kiratpur market of Jamalpur police station area.
On their information, the police have also recovered silver jewelery and other items stolen from Kiratpur market. Apart from this, the accused have also confessed to committing theft incidents in Bahera, Baheri and Laheriasarai police station areas of the district.
The criminal history of the accused is being investigated.
Case number 677/22, section 395/397/412 IPC has been registered against the arrested Prasadi in Bareilly's Izzatnagar police station. A case has been registered against accused Bir Singh in Bilsanda police station of Pilibhit under case number 32/20, section 3/25 (A) Arms Act. The criminal history of other accused is being investigated.
Rural SP Alok Kumar said that during the interrogation, technical analysis of the mobile location of the accused was done. From which it became clear that all of them lived around Rambhadrapur station under Kalyanpur police station area of Samastipur district. These people led a nomadic lifestyle and used to roam around in different places and do Reiki while living in slums. Some women also lived with them.
Used to carry out events at the national level
Information received from UP Police said that all the arrested criminals have been carrying out incidents at the national level. Many cases are registered against this gang in other states including Bihar, UP.
The incidents of theft were carried out in a planned manner.
Rural SP said that this gang first marks those areas where police patrolling is less. After this, he carries out incidents of theft in a planned manner at night. Preliminary investigation has also revealed that these people have also committed theft incidents in Maya Chowk of Baheri police station area, Kalyanpur of Samastipur district and other areas.
On their behest, a huge quantity of stolen jewelery was recovered during a raid in Kalyanpur police station area. A person was deployed as a representative for the security of these jewels, who has been arrested by the local police with a weapon.
The gang worked professionally
This gang worked in a completely professional manner. These people used to target people not only at night but also during the day and then carry out incidents at night. The investigation so far has also revealed that such nomadic people were often ignored considering them poor and weak, but now the police has become completely alert on this subject.
He said that all the police station incharges of the district have been instructed to keep a special eye on the people who are living in a nomadic manner, collect detailed information about them and also alert the people nearby. Besides, police stations of border districts and other districts have also been informed, so that such suspicious people coming from other districts or states can be monitored.
Praising the villagers of Dohatha village, Rural SP said that the way the people of the village showed courage and cooperated with the police in catching the criminal, is commendable.
He said that such villagers deserve thanks and they will be identified and honored with certificates and awards. Also he will be honored as a police friend.
