5 people burnt to death in fire in Meerut.
Jagran correspondent, Meerut. Two women and five children got burnt in a fire in a house in the district. Everyone was taken to the Medical College Hospital, where five people, including three children, were declared dead. The cause of the fire could not be clarified.
Iqbal Ahmed's family lives in Kidwai Nagar. On Monday, all the family members were present at home. The house caught fire at 9:30 pm. The family members present on the ground floor came out, but the people present on the first floor were trapped. To rescue the seven trapped family members, the police and fire brigade broke the wall behind the house and took them out one by one through the stairs.
Everyone was taken to the Medical College Hospital in a badly burnt condition due to the fire, where doctors declared five people, including three children, dead.
