Major fire in slatted house in Bhadhera village
Jagran correspondent, Mandi. News of a massive arson has come to light in Karsog sub-division of Mandi district. Here in Bhadhera village, a two-storey slate-washed house caught fire due to a spark coming from an electric pole. The house was completely gutted in the fire and goods worth approximately Rs 10 lakh were destroyed.
The family members saved their lives in time. The fire was brought under control with the help of fire brigade and villagers. The administration has assured all possible assistance to the victim's family.
According to the information, the spark emanating from the sudden sparking in the electric pole near the house took the form of fire, due to which the entire house got engulfed in flames. The fire spread so rapidly that despite the efforts made by the villagers, it could not be controlled.
The house affected by the fire is said to belong to Ram Singh son of Surat Ram. It is being told that Ram Singh had undergone a heart operation a few days ago and due to this incident he has suffered a lot of grief. In this incident of arson, all the goods kept inside the house were burnt and destroyed, due to which the loss is estimated to be around Rs 10 lakh.
As soon as information about the fire was received, the fire brigade reached the spot and after much effort brought the fire under control. At the same time, the local villagers also cooperated fully in extinguishing the fire, but the flames were so strong that the damage could not be stopped.
Meanwhile, on behalf of the administration, Naib Tehsildar Karsog Rahul Sharma said that information about the incident has been received through the media. He said that Halka Patwari has been sent to the spot with relief material and soon an assessment of the loss will be prepared and all possible assistance will be provided to the victim's family.
