Samvad Sutra, Lakhimpur. There is a hope of getting rid of the daily jam at Krishna Talkies railway crossing in the city in the year 2026. After the efforts of CDO Abhishek Kumar, Bridge Corporation has sent the estimate of about Rs 150 crore for the overbridge to the government. The government is also seriously considering the overbridge. It is expected that the construction of this overbridge will be approved by the end of January of the new year or the first fortnight of February. Four lane is to be built from Sankata Devi intersection to Lalpur intersection connecting Pilibhit-Basti road. For this, a budget of Rs 35 crore has been approved. Even after construction of four lanes, the railway crossing located near Krishna Talkies is a major obstacle for smooth traffic. To build an overbridge at the railway crossing, traffic of one lakh people is required in 24 hours, whereas during the monitoring of the railway here, traffic of more than one and a half lakh people has been found.
Krishna Talkies Railway Crossing is meeting every standard to build an overbridge. CDO Abhishek Kumar is very serious about building an overbridge at the railway crossing. He has held several meetings with PWD and Bridge Corporation officials and also got the drawings prepared.
Now Bridge Corporation's project manager Qaiser Ansari has sent an estimate of Rs 150 crore to the government. It is being told that the construction of overbridge will start at a distance of 50 meters from Sankata Devi intersection, which will fall at Gotaiyabagh turn. This overbridge will be 750 meters long and three lanes i.e. 11.3 meters wide.
A 3.5 meter service lane is also to be built in it. CDO Abhishek Kumar says that most of the overbridge construction is government land, some private land of nearby people will come under JD, after the acquisition of which compensation will also be given. At present, there is hope that the overbridge will be built in the year 2026.
